Francophonie : The Swiss Embassy reiterates its support for the dictation competition organized by ACOFEPE in DRC

The Swiss Ambassador accredited to the DRC, Mr. Chasper Sarott, reiterated his support for the organization of the dictation competition organized by the Congolese Association of Women Journalists of the Written Press, ACOFEPE, in acronym, each March 20 from the year on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of La Francophonie. It was during an interview that the Swiss diplomat had on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in his office with a delegation of members of the executive committee of this structure which campaigns for the upgrading of the status of the knights of the feather. The talks revolved around the next organization of the 4th edition of the Spelling contest, entitled: « A Writing Without Fault ».

According to the President of ACOFEPE, Grace Ngyke KANGUNDU, this dictation contest aims principal to reconcile the pupils with the use of the French language, to stimulate them with the culture of the reading for an improvement of their writing as well as to promote the good use of the French language at the high school girls by this game of dictation.

« Through this competition, ACOFEPE wants to give back the taste of reading to the new generation, supposed to lead society in the coming years », declared Grace Ngyke in front of the Swiss diplomat.

In addition, the President of ACOFEPE invited the Embassy to take part in a webinar conference that she will organize on December 15 with the support of Unesco with a view to advocating for the consecration of the international day of the written press.
